Waterbury, VT --- In a back and forth battle between the two American Conference rivals, the Westfield State University Owls were able to pull away in the third period to beat the Norwich Cadets 9-5. With the win, the Owls improve their league record to 2-3-0 and moved 4 points ahead of Norwich in the standings. The Owls currently are in fourth place in the division. The top 4 teams in the American Conference will qualify for the post-season. In other games in the division this weekend, MIT beat Bates College. More to come later... The Owls will have over a month off to rest up and heal their injuries before returning to action on January 22nd against the Bates Bears.
